BlueBox is a 27 year old software company based primarily in the UK and South Africa, with team members working at home from all over the world.
We develop web-based software for many business sectors and operate an open, friendly work environment within which our team members collaborate and work globally.
Requirements:
- We are seeking an experienced React developer (3+ years) to work with our team who is competent in English.
- The position requires a thorough knowledge of React and services like Github and Netlify. As a team player, you should be willing to take on any technical challenge and you’re happy to jump in and solve problems on any code base.
- Communication is key to this role — so competent English is required — you will be expected to be 'plugged in' to our team communications channels on Slack during work hours and to stay in constant contact with your team members and project managers.
- You will need the existing experience/knowledge to be able to work on projects by yourself and the discipline to stay self-motivated and work under pressure — our senior coders will assist you where necessary but you are expected to be able to work solo on existing projects and code without supervision or guidance.

Work conditions:
- You will be working from home and therefore will require your own reliable PC/Laptop and internet connection.
- We work Monday to Friday UK time: 9am to 5pm — and we are open to flexi-time working from time to time by prior arrangement.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and produce new React/JS code for legacy existing code and new systems
- Work with and integrate with RESTful API’s
- Follow React/JS development best practices
- Communicate constantly with your immediate team members and project managers
