We are looking for a highly professional and motivated Press Secretary to support the communications efforts of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
This is a high-impact, fast-paced position for a skilled communicator with a deep understanding of public affairs, media relations, and strategic messaging. The Press Secretary will lead the Minister’s personal communications team and serve as a key advisor on all public-facing matters.
Key Responsibilities
? Strategic Leadership
- Lead and coordinate the Minister’s personal communications team.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies, including social media management.
- Align messaging with key policy priorities and build strategic partnerships.

?? Content Creation & Messaging
- Draft and edit speeches, social media content, op-eds, video scripts, and public statements.
- Review and approve press releases and official Ministerial quotes.
- Manage direct communication with opinion leaders and public influencers.

? Media Relations
- Coordinate all media requests and prepare the Minister for interviews.
- Write responses and manage outreach to journalists and key media outlets.
- Play a critical role in crisis communication efforts.

? Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate communication projects with government stakeholders and external partners.
- Liaise with governmental bodies and ensure cohesive messaging across structures.

? Team & Contractor Management
- Recruit, onboard, and manage the Minister’s personal communications staff.
- Supervise external communications contractors and agencies.

? Event & Project Support
- Co-develop and oversee public events and press briefings.
- Provide input into broader Ministry communication strategies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, journalism, political science, public policy, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (public comms, political advisory, media relations).
- Excellent Ukrainian writing and editing skills; strong English writing ability (B2+).
- Experience managing communications for high-profile public figures is a strong asset.
- Team coordination and project management experience required.
- Skills in design/video tools are a plus.
