Type: Full-Time | Department: Growth & Marketing Ops
Who We Are
1080 Ventures is a New York & Miami-based venture studio built to launch and scale companies that change the game.
Twine, our marketing arm, is a full-stack growth marketing agency built by founders, for founders — combining creativity, systems, and speed to move fast and break things (strategically).
We don’t do fluff. We build scalable companies, real growth engines, and world-class teams.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Digital Associate Manager to lead, mentor, and scale a team of Ukraine-based marketing assistants — some of the most talented up-and-coming minds in digital. You will be the operational and cultural heartbeat of our Ukrainian team, overseeing all marketing execution, task flow, and systems.
You will manage the people, the process, and the performance. This is not just project management — it’s a strategic, high-impact role that requires leadership, marketing ops savvy, and elite communication skills.
You will be working directly with founders, marketing leads, and portfolio teams to execute growth strategies across multiple startups — all while cultivating a high-performance team culture across Eastern Europe.
What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Ops Management
- Directly manage a fast-growing team of Ukrainian-based marketing assistants (students + recent grads).
- Hire, onboard, and mentor new team members — build a culture of excellence, speed, and continuous learning.
- Create, update, and enforce SOPs to ensure consistency, quality, and speed of execution.
- Oversee daily task delegation, workflow management, and real-time performance tracking.
- Coordinate with U.S.-based leadership on strategic priorities and resourcing.
- Be the go-to operator for all things growth ops in Ukraine.
Marketing Task Oversight
You’ll oversee and quality-check the execution of marketing and growth tasks including:
- Social media scheduling & post creation (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
- Research & list building (e.g., investors, influencers, journalists)
- Cold outreach support (personalized email + LinkedIn)
- CRM data entry & hygiene (HubSpot, Notion, Airtable)
- Lead generation support (via tools like Apollo, Clay, Instantly)
- Newsletter drafting & formatting (Substack, Mailchimp, Klaviyo)
- Content repurposing (blog > social, webinar > micro posts)
- Community support (Slack/Discord moderation, group engagement)
- Web research & competitor audits
- Influencer & affiliate database building
- Metrics tracking & reporting support (Google Sheets, dashboards)
Strategy, Training, and Continuous Improvement
- Identify task gaps and bottlenecks and build better systems.
- Regularly train and uplevel your team on new tools, growth hacks, and tactics.
- Document everything and turn chaos into clarity.
- Own outcomes: you are responsible for the quality and velocity of all task execution in your region.
What You Bring
- 3−6 or more years of experience managing remote, cross-functional teams — ideally in a startup, digital agency, or high-speed environment.
- Proven ability to lead young, ambitious talent — you know how to mentor and build accountability with empathy.
- Obsessed with process: You build systems, workflows, SOPs, and feedback loops to scale your impact.
- Deep familiarity with marketing workflows — you’ve run or supported email campaigns, research projects, social content calendars, and outreach campaigns.
- Excellent spoken and written English — you’re as comfortable on a Zoom call as you are writing up a 3-step process guide.
- High technical fluency: You’re confident with Notion, Slack, GDrive, ChatGPT, LinkedIn, HubSpot, Google Sheets, and can pick up new tools fast.
- You’re a builder — someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do. You identify problems and solve them.
- Based in Ukraine or extremely familiar with the region and talent landscape.
- You take pride in running a high-trust, high-performance team with a culture of ownership.
- Write the word «maven» in your response for added consideration
Why This Role Is Special
- You’ll be managing and scaling one of the sharpest young marketing ops teams in Eastern Europe.
- You’ll be a key part of a cutting-edge venture studio working with some of the most exciting startups in healthtech, AI, fintech, and consumer brands.
- You’ll build a talent machine — helping ambitious young people unlock opportunities in global tech.
- You’ll have autonomy, mentorship, and direct exposure to founders and marketing leaders.
- You’ll be part of an elite, globally distributed, get-sh*t-done culture.
