Requirements:
- The ideal candidate must be excellent at communication and able to work well under pressure.
- Excellent planning skills, a good sense of judgment, and the ability to prioritize effectively are also essential.
- Flet Bed (Step Deck / Flatbed) — Dry Van dispatch experience required!
- Manage a group of 6−8 drivers on a regular basis.

We can’t teach a dispatcher from zero!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily freight movements while maintaining frequent communication with clients and drivers.
- Utilize load boards and freight platforms such as DAT to book and manage shipments.
- Track freight throughout its lifecycle — from dispatch to final delivery — including setting up loads and entering new clients into the system.
- Proactively address any disruptions to delivery schedules, such as equipment issues, traffic delays, weather conditions, or client-requested changes in pickup/drop-off times or locations.
- Handle reports of freight damage, vehicle incidents, or emergencies, and escalate to the Safety Department for proper handling.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with both customers and drivers to support long-term cooperation.
- Optimize pickup and delivery routes to reduce operational costs and minimize empty miles.
