ОПИС ВАКАНСІЇ
Medical Teams International adheres to strict principles of child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding, as well as a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct related to sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse in the workplace and other locations where the organization operates. In parallel with technical competence, recruitment, and selection, employment decisions will give due consideration to assessing candidate suitability through thorough background checks, absence of criminal convictions, and professional reference checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate risks to staff, beneficiaries or Medical Teams assets.
- Research and analyze security dynamics in project areas from a variety of local and national sources to produce weekly security updates.
- Advise on appropriate actions and assist in incident management as needed.
- Assist in defining training needs, lead training according to the Medical Teams Safety and Security Training Manual, and identifying external trainers as needed.
- Ensure incident reports are completed in a timely manner and submit to the Team Lead/Country Director.
- Conduct desktop and on-ground Security Risk Assessments for all new locations.
- Ensure that contingency plans for Crisis Management, Evacuation, Relocation, Hibernation, and Medical Evacuation are in place and disseminated and adopted amongst staff.
- Assess all potential facilities (offices, accommodation, warehouses, health facilities etc), making recommendations on safety of location and security additions needed.
- Ensure and regularly reassess vehicles, facilities and equipment are compliant with Medical Teams' standards. Advise and where necessary implement improvements.
- Recommend SOPs and contingency plans to reduce staff risk and vulnerability.
- Ensure revised Safety and Security Instructions, policies and procedures are approved, publicized, and implemented across the team.
- Ensure all new staff have thorough briefing on SOPs and areas of operation and are updated as needed.
- Co-ordinate with program staff in implementation of project plans and how these relate to security.
- Develop good professional relationships with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Attend relevant inter-agency coordination meetings.
- Lead regular and ad hoc security meetings/briefings.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Specialist degree in a relevant field. Completed Personal Security, HEAT or other similar security training (preferably in the last three
years).
- Completed First Aid Certification Training in the last three years.
Preferred:
- Completed security/risk management Certificate training or similar (desirable).
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Minimum two years' experience in contexts with complex access challenges.
- Experience in a humanitarian organization.
- Experience in conducting safety and security risk assessments.
- Experience in gathering and analysing security information and recommending appropriate actions.
- Experience in delivering safety and security training.
- Experience of managing safety and security incidents.
- Experience with government / CIV-MIL liaison (desirable).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Able and willing to travel throughout Ukraine
- Able and willing to work outside of normal business hours when needed
- Advanced English, fluent Ukrainian and Russian.
- Excellent communicator.

- Understanding of Ukrainian security context.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Negotiation and representation skills.
- Skilled in developing and conducting trainings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literate, able to work efficiently in Microsoft office on standard or mobile platforms.
