ОПИС ВАКАНСІЇ
Contract Duration: Until September 30th, 2025 (renewal subject to performance evaluation/funding).
Location: Based in Lozova/Blyznyuky, with regular field visits within Donetsk Oblast (primarily Oleksandrivska Hromada) and Kharkivska Oblast.
Working hours: part time.
Deadline: No fixed deadline; the position remains open until a suitable candidate is found.
Start Date: Immediate availability.
Purpose of the Position:
- to provide community-based mental health services integrated with existing primary care to meet the psychological needs of affected populations.
- to strengthen the skills of local healthcare providers (e.g., feldschers) and Community Health Workers (CHWs) to effectively detect mental health issues and guide patients along the appropriate care pathways.
- to develop and strengthen a two-way referral systems connecting communities with mental health specialists and ensuring continuity of care.
- to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma through community engagement and education, fostering a more supportive and informed environment.
Reporting to: International Field Coordinator (FC), Medical Department (PHC Focal Point)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Activities and Staff Supervision
- Conduct routine field visits to primary care facilities. Departures and returns will be from the designated location (i.e., hospital, clinic, headquarter office) for briefing/debriefing.
- During visits, complete the «field visit report» document findings, and take relevant photographs. Assess:
- Staff competencies, adherence to clinical protocols, quality of patient care.
- Accuracy and completeness of patient records, referral forms, and statistical data.
- Professional conduct of all staff (clinical and non-clinical).
- Coordinate all movements with the International FC and security focal points. Report any issues promptly (security incidents, delays, or other problems).
Communication
- Maintain regular contact with primary care clinics' supervisors via assigned mobile phones.
- Inform the International FC immediately of any patient referrals to other facilities, security threats, staff absences, or shift changes.
- Report any third-party requests for patient information (from government, private entities, etc.) to the International FC before responding, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with protocols.
Training
- Deliver on-site training to primary care clinics' staff as per the plans agreed with the International FC.
- Prepare and administer evaluation tests, as needed, collaborate on the development of training materials with training staff
Recruitment Support
- When new staff are required, work with clinics' supervisors to identify suitable candidates locally.
- Participate in interviews with the FC/HR, ensuring clear communication during the selection process.
Meetings and Coordination
- Attend relevant meetings as requested by the international FC.
- Provide feedback to the International FC and highlight any issues involving EMERGENCY.
FAP Monthly Meetings
- Attend monthly FAP meetings to collect statistics, review invoices, and address operational issues.
- Document requests, suggestions, and feedback from supervisors and ensure proper follow-up.
Clinical Outcome Supervision
- Evaluate compliance with guidelines, promote critical thinking, address any discrepancies between the information provided by FAP staff and the patient’s actual condition or treatment outcomes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Basic knowledge of the English language.
- Fluency in Ukrainian is mandatory;
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to field locations.
