ОПИС ВАКАНСІЇ
Middle+/Senior DevOps Engineer & Team Lead
Location: Remote/Hybrid (flexible, but timezone alignment expected)
Type: Part-time
Level: Mid-Senior (Middle+ to Low Senior)
About the Role:
We’re looking for a technically sharp, emotionally intelligent DevOps Engineer with strong leadership potential (or experience) to support and eventually drive our internal 4Ops projects. This person will be a mix of hands-on builder, team mentor, and all-around problem solver.
Basically, we need someone who can get things done, lead others to do the same, and not collapse into a puddle during high-pressure deployments. That too much to ask?
What you’ll do (aka Your Hero’s Journey):
- Lead and Mentor: Help grow and guide a small but mighty DevOps team. You’ll shape workflows, onboard new hires, and mentor junior engineers. You will not be babysitting, but we do expect leadership.
- Architect & Build: Design and implement infrastructure solutions across cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code. Automate CI/CD processes like it’s a competitive sport.
- Own DevOps Practices: Drive adoption of best practices across environments- security, scalability, monitoring, incident response.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, QA, and product teams. Be the person who translates chaos into process and tools into delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Review, refine, and evolve tools and processes. Your mantra: automate everything that hurts. And a few things that don’t.
- Be Hands-On: Write Terraform, fix pipelines, debug cloud weirdness, and occasionally smack Jenkins until it behaves.
- Speak Human: Communicate technical ideas clearly to stakeholders. Deliver status updates without death-by-slide-deck.
You should have:
- 3−6+ years of DevOps/SRE experience (we'll know if you’re bluffing).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Cloud fluency in AWS/Azure/GCP. Bonus points if you can explain the billing model without crying.
- Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, whatever makes things go brrr).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
- Leadership potential or experience: You’ve led teams, mentored engineers, or at least resisted the urge to throttle someone in a code review.
- Excellent time management: You hit deadlines without needing hourly reminders or a motivational playlist.
- High emotional intelligence: You can collaborate, give feedback, take feedback, and not act like a git in stressful moments.
Soft skills (yes, they matter):
- Responsibility: You own what you do- success or failure.
- Problem-Solving: You get to the root cause, not just duct tape the symptoms.
- Curiosity: You’re the kind of person who breaks things on purpose just to learn how they work.
- Communication: You speak clearly, write concisely, and don’t make people regret asking you questions.
- Leadership: You make people better without being bossy or weird about itI
- Teamwork: You lift people up, not just load balance them out of your way.
Nice-to-haves (aka icing, not cake):
- Kubernetes experience (especially if you didn’t hate it).
- Experience in high-availability or regulated environments.
- Previous experience in 4Ops-like orgs or internal platform teams.
- Familiarity with SRE principles and incident response practices.
Why join us?
- A chance to actually influence architecture, culture, and practices.
- Work on meaningful internal projects, not just random client tickets.
- Be part of a small, impact-driven team with room to grow.
- No micromanagement- we assume you’re a grown-up.
- You’ll be appreciated, unless you break production, in which case… we’ll appreciate you later.
