Pechersk School International (PSI) is seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and student-centred STEM & Tech Integration Teacher to join our vibrant and diverse learning community. Responsibilities:
Delivers STEM project-based learning
- Develops and organises lesson plans and materials to engage students with STEM projects
- Follows PSI’s established rules and expectations for classroom management and behaviour
- Submits planning, attendance and assessment records to the relevant coordinator or principal when required, and keeps records up to date in the correct shared folders and/or LMS
- Tests, evaluates and monitors students' effort and achievement in accordance with the school’s established assessment and grading procedures and adjusts teaching strategies accordingly
- Is familiar with students' past academic records and addresses individual student needs as necessary
- Completes reports and requests feedback on student learning and progress
- Contributes to the development of the wider school curriculum
- Monitors, advises and assists in the pastoral care of students
- Reports student illness, accident or injury to the School Office or administration
- Develops professional practice by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Actively seeks out opportunities for growing student passion for STEM, including engagements with competitions or participation in wider tech or STEM programmes
Supports the integration of Tech
- Seeks opportunities for integrating technology and STEM into other lessons and the curriculum
- Works with the Principals and the Director of Teaching and Learning to develop a means for monitoring and tracking further development of technology skills within existing subjects
- Researches and seeks out the latest tools and technologies for assisting teaching and developing problem-solving skills through Tech Integration and STEM
- Is abreast of the latest developments in education for use of AI, and keeps the Director of Teaching and Learning, as well as Coordinators and Principals, informed about continuing changes and possible opportunities for training, classroom integration, etc.
- Shares new insights and actively participates in Staff training (including delivering or co-delivering sessions where appropriate)
- Collaborates regularly with teachers to evaluate and plan greater tech integration
- Co-teaches where appropriate to help successfully deliver or introduce STEM components to Math, Science, and Design
- Works with the IT Department to identify and propose technological upgrades or improvements
- Uses non-contact time during the school day for professional duties, research, organising and maintaining technology resources
Required Qualifications / Experience:
University degree in education, computers and/or related fields.
Experience of delivering STEM educational programmes to secondary students (and perhaps younger as well).
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
Experience working with children of a wide range of ages and learning needs
