We’re looking for an Investment Coordinator in Kyiv to support Varangians in building and structuring our investment activities within Ukraine’s defense tech ecosystem.

Beetroot is a trusted partner helping international teams scale and grow. We’re setting up this role for Varangians — a Sweden and Ukraine-based defense tech catalyst initiative investing in and supporting critical projects that help Ukraine defend itself and innovate for the future. With a growing reputation and network across Europe and Ukraine, we bridge founders, ministries, and investors to accelerate meaningful defense tech solutions.
Your mission will be to support Varangians' strategy and operations: keep our activities structured and documented, help coordinate meetings and information flows, and ensure smooth follow-ups. You’ll help us stay connected and informed — making sure that leads, ideas, and opportunities are properly tracked and moved forward.
What you’ll do in this role
- Support the Swedish team by preparing and following up on meetings with startups, investors, ministries, and partners
- Collect, organize, and keep updated all materials: pitch decks, company data, answers to due diligence questions
- Build and maintain a structure for our investment pipeline: documenting new leads, next steps, and status updates
- Coordinate administrative tasks: booking meetings, scheduling calls, maintaining shared calendars, and communicating with Beetroot’s support team
- Assist in due diligence processes as a project coordinator
- Do focused research on companies, market segments, and new government initiatives in Ukraine’s defense tech
- Occasionally, represent Varangians at events or conferences in Ukraine, with clear and structured reporting back to the team

We’re looking for
- A sociable, structured, and proactive person based in Kyiv
- Strong administrative and coordination skills; able to keep track of multiple tasks and details
- Fluent in Ukrainian and English (for meetings and communication)
- Interest in Ukraine’s defense tech, innovation, and investment
- Ability to work independently and structure information in a clear, usable way

How to knock our socks off
- Existing network or prior experience in defense tech, investment, or related fields
- Background in research, analysis, or working with data and reports
- Experience supporting investment or fundraising processes
- Project management experience — coordinating tasks, timelines, and stakeholders
