Job Title: Protection Supervisor
Duty Station: Kharkiv, Ukraine
Expected starting date: Mid-September 2025
Expected end date: 12 months
Reporting Line: Protection Specialist
Scope of the Position:
The Protection Supervisor will oversee the implementation of protection-related activities within the project areas in Kharkiv and Sumy Oblasts. This role will ensure quality assurance, team supervision, adherence to protection standards, and coordination with internal and external actors. The Supervisor will guide the implementation of protection monitoring, case management, awareness campaigns, and referral systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate and supervise protection monitoring activities in health facilities and collective centers.
- Ensure the use of standardized tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox) aligned with the Protection Cluster’s framework.
- Provide technical guidance to Protection and Case Management teams.
- Supervise field teams (psychologists and case workers): support in planning of activities, outreach to local stakeholders, schedules and delivery of desired results.
- Ensure quality and confidentiality in case management and referrals, in accordance with global standards.
- Oversee the development and revision of intersectoral referral pathways.
- Support the delivery of training for local stakeholders and frontline workers.
- Supervise data collection and reporting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with the M&E team to ensure effective data collection and reporting.
- Carry out protection monitoring: preparations for the assessment, travelling to the assessed areas in Kharkiv and Sumy oblast, preparation of protection monitoring report.
- Contribute to internal and cluster-level reporting, sharing analytical findings.
- Coordinate with local authorities, civil society organizations, and humanitarian actors.
- Participate in coordination mechanisms such as the Protection Cluster and GBV sub-cluster.
- Ensure Do-No-Harm, survivor-centered, age/gender/disability-sensitive approaches.

Qualifications:
- University degree in Social Work, Human Rights, Law, Psychology, or related field.
- Advanced training in protection, case management, or GBV is an asset.

Professional experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in humanitarian protection programs.
- Experience supervising field teams and implementing protection activities.
- Proven experience in coordinating with local stakeholders and service providers.

Skills and Competences:
- Strong knowledge of protection principles and IASC guidelines.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox).
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian (Russian is an asset).
- Team spirit, flexibility, and cultural sensitivity.
