Location: Remote (Ukrainian citizens are preferred)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Medical Billing Specialist/Customer Support Representative to join our expanding remote team. This position primarily focuses on medical billing tasks, while also providing front desk and scheduling support when needed.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing processes, smooth communication with patients, and coordination between departments. Your contribution will directly support both the financial health of our practice and the satisfaction of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Billing (Primary Focus):
- Handle claim follow-ups, appeals, and denials with insurance providers.
- Investigate and resolve billing-related issues, including Coordination of Benefits (COB).
- Communicate with patients regarding balances, insurance updates, and payment plans.
- Accurately document billing activities in the EHR and internal systems.

Front Desk & Scheduling (Secondary Support):
- Answer incoming calls with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments according to patient/provider availability.
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and video links for telehealth visits.
- Support providers in managing their daily schedules and patient coordination.
- Ensure all interactions and updates are properly documented in our systems.

Requirements:
- Fluent English (written and spoken) — B2-C1
- Prior experience in medical billing field is required.
- Previous exposure to customer service, healthcare admin, or scheduling is preferred.
- Ability to work the evening shift (16:00 — 00:00 UA time) reliably.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, empathetic, and patient communication style.
