Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, with particular emphasis on our European portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing or overseeing companies within the European Union and deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional financial operations.
The Group Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance across diverse markets and providing strategic financial insights to support investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee group consolidation of financial statements across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management and investment teams
- Manage treasury operations including cash flow planning and currency hedging
- Ensure compliance with EU regulations including AIFMD, MiFID II, IFRS, and local regulatory requirements
- Oversee financial operations of European portfolio companies and coordinate with local teams
- Manage AML/KYC compliance and GDPR requirements across all jurisdictions
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory examinations
- Lead implementation of financial systems and process improvements

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional certification: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- 5−8 years of senior finance experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, or financial services
- Minimum 3−5 years experience managing or overseeing companies within the European Union
- Expert knowledge of IFRS and multi-currency consolidations
- Strong understanding of European financial regulations including AIFMD, MiFID II, and EU compliance frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel
- Fluency in English required, additional European languages beneficial

Preferred Experience
- CFA designation or relevant advanced qualifications
- Previous experience with venture capital or alternative investment firms
