ZOA is an international humanitarian organization, based in the Netherlands, providing emergency relief to people who are affected by conflicts and natural disasters. In 2022, ZOA is operating in 14 countries.
In March 2022, ZOA started an emergency program in Ukraine for Internally Displaced Persons, in Zakarpattia Oblast, providing cash based assistance. Since then ZOA has expanded to Chernihiv, Kherson and Mykolaiv Oblast, focusing on shelter repairs and winterization through cash for shelter.

Objective of the position
The Project Officer is responsible for implementation of the project goals in Kherson Oblast, in accordance with relevant strategies and standards.
Main activities
Tasks, responsibilities, and expected results
Under the responsibility and guidance of the ZOA Project Coordinator, the Project Officer is expected to:
- Conduct beneficiary registration
- Drive project team to the field
- Conduct Monitoring and Evaluation visits / follow up calls of beneficiaries and houses.
- Сollect and process reports from beneficiaries
- Handle the complaint and feedback mechanism
- Support the Project Coordinator with analysing Monitoring and Evaluation Data.
- Ensure compliance with ZOA Internal Finance and Administrative Rules and Regulations.
- Draft project reports.
- Implement any follow up activities of ZOA in Kryvyi Rih
- Contribute to mainstreaming of Security into the ZOA program in Ukraine.
Competencies
Knowledge & Experience:
- Preferably three to five years of field experience in a similar function;
- Familiar with Project Cycle Management;
- Spoken and written proficiency in Ukrainian. Knowledge of English will be a significant advantage.
- Driving license and minimum of 5 year driving experience
Skills:
- Sound understanding of humanitarian operations;
- Analytical;
- Accurate working style
- Organisational sensitivity;
- Effective communication with beneficiaries
- Experienced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Planning and organising;
- Provides regular feedback, acknowledges success and the need for improvement;

- Able to work under pressures and meet deadlines;

Special conditions
- The Duty Station for this position is Kryvyi Rih city, with trips around Kryvyi Rih oblast, and relevant policies apply
