About Us
Theo Trucking Inc. is a growing transportation company with a fleet of company drivers and owner-operators. We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant with trucking industry knowledge to manage our financial records, driver settlements, and ensure compliance with DOT and IRS requirements.
Responsibilities

Record and reconcile all income and expenses (factoring reports, fuel, repairs, insurance, etc.)

Manage accounts payable/receivable and broker payments

Prepare and maintain monthly Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets

Handle driver settlements (1099 and W-2 if applicable)

Assist with tax filings: IFTA fuel tax reports, 2290 HVUT, quarterly estimated taxes

Track truck/trailer depreciation and loan schedules

Provide financial reports to management for decision-making

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping/accounting for trucking companies (preferred)

Strong knowledge of E-Zloads or similar software

Understanding of IFTA, FMCSA/DOT-related record-keeping, and trucking-specific deductions

Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
