The role
We’re hiring an AI Engineer (Python?first) to push the boundary of applied AI across our products. Your focus is advanced agents, multi?model orchestration, and retrieval — building reliable AI workflows that connect to multiple model providers, push & retrieve data from vector databases, and turn messy, real?world data into fast, accurate answers.
What you’ll do
- Agentic systems: Design agent workflows with LangGraph/LangChain (tool use, function calling, structured outputs/JSON schemas, planning/memory, parallel tools, retries, fallbacks).
- Multi?model layer: Integrate OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral, Cohere and gateways (OpenRouter / LiteLLM) with routing (quality/cost/latency), fallbacks, and guardrails.
- RAG pipelines: Build multi?tenant retrieval (chunking, embeddings, metadata filters, hybrid BM25+vector), add re?rankers and semantic cache; tune prompts and context packing for quality + cost.
- Vector databases: Operate Pinecone / Weaviate / Qdrant / pgvector (namespaces/tenants, HNSW/IVF settings, TTL/cold storage).
- Data ingestion: Ship connectors for PDFs/Office, email/tickets, CSV/JSON, and SaaS APIs; normalize metadata, redact PII, track lineage.
- Evaluation: Establish offline & online evals (golden sets, A/B), measure faithfulness, groundedness, context fit; wire regression gates in CI.
- Observability: Trace prompts/tools/responses with Langfuse/OpenTelemetry; monitor latency, win?rates, and token spend; version prompts/datasets.
- App & APIs: Deliver Python (FastAPI) endpoints with streaming (SSE/WebSockets), auth/RBAC, and multi?tenant controls; optional UI hooks for chat (Next.js/Vercel AI SDK).
- FinOps for AI: Optimize cost via cache hits, prompt design, batching, model choice (small/large mix), and better retrieval.
- Safety & compliance: Apply content policies, rate limits, auditability, and privacy?first handling of customer data.

What you’ll bring
- 2+ years building data/AI or back?end products, including 1+ year shipping LLM apps (agents/RAG).
- Strong Python for services and pipelines (FastAPI, asyncio, pydantic, testing with pytest); TypeScript familiarity is a plus.
- Practical LangChain/LangGraph experience and solid prompt/tool design (structured outputs).
- Production use of a vector DB (Pinecone/Weaviate/Qdrant/pgvector) and embeddings best practices.
- Experience integrating multiple model providers (OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini/Mistral/Cohere) or gateways (OpenRouter/LiteLLM) with routing/fallbacks.
- Hands?on with evals (Ragas/DeepEval) and observability (Langfuse/OTel).
- Clear English communication; collaborative with Product/Design/Engineering.

Nice to have: re?rankers, OCR/Document AI; Redis/pg for queues/caches; simple local trials (Ollama) — but infra?heavy ops are not required.
Work modes
Remote (Europe?friendly):
- Work from anywhere with 4+ hours overlap with EET/EEST.
- Stable connection, security hygiene, and camera?on collaboration for key sessions.

On?site with relocation (from Ukraine → EU): This track includes a comprehensive, hands?on relocation package:
- Legal & residence permits: End?to?end guidance; typical onboarding ~1−2 weeks (subject to authorities).
- Housing support: 2−3 months of free accommodation near the office; assistance with deposit and long?term lease.
- Transport & logistics: Flight/ground travel coordination and arrival support.
- Equipment & setup: Day?1 workstation (latest Mac + monitor) and secure access.
- Community: Established Ukrainian teammates on site to help you settle quickly.

Important: For the on?site track, applicants must be ready and eligible to relocate to Ia?i (primary) or Riga (secondary) in compliance with Ukrainian and EU regulations.
