We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and automate secure, scalable workloads on Amazon Web Services. This role is perfect for someone with a full-time job who wants meaningful, well-scoped side projects.
Requirements:

Strong AWS experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation

CI/CD with GitHub Actions (or GitLab CI/CircleCI/Jenkins)

Containers: Docker with ECS/EKS (or serverless with Lambda)

Networking & security: VPC, subnets, Security Groups, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager/SSM

Monitoring & logging: CloudWatch (logs, metrics, alarms, dashboards)

Scripting for automation: Bash or Python

Comfortable with commonly used AWS services: EC2, ECR, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, EFS, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudTrail, Config

Nice to have: CodeBuild/CodePipeline, Helm/Argo CD, cost optimization

Working Conditions:

Part-time, project-based; hourly billing

Flexible 10−20 hrs/week with 2−3 hrs CET overlap

Remote; communicate via Telegram; tasks in Trello

Time tracking and monthly invoicing

Responsibilities:

Help clients configure AWS infrastructure tailored to their apps and environments.

Create and maintain deployment pipelines for client applications (preferably GitHub Actions).

Provide production support: troubleshoot incidents, stabilize services, and prevent recurrences.

Configure infrastructure using AWS best practices for security, reliability, performance, and cost.

Document changes and hand over clean runbooks/playbooks to client teams.
