We are looking for a Truck Technical Support Advisor with proven experience in heavy truck maintenance to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for drivers reporting breakdowns, fault codes, or dashboard alerts.
- Provide real-time remote diagnostics based on driver input and available diagnostic data via phone, text, or video calls.
- Interpret and analyze fault codes across key truck systems (engine, fuel, electrical, brakes, cooling, transmission) to determine urgency and next steps.
- Guide drivers through safe checks and basic fixes, using clear, simple instructions, until service arrives.
- Recommend nearby repair shops, towing, or roadside assistance using company databases and mapping tools.
- Log all cases, track recurring issues, and escalate complex situations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a truck mechanic, technician, or fleet maintenance specialist
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck brands (Freightliner, Volvo, Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, Mack, etc.)
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools/software
- Ability to read fault codes, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (ability to explain technical details in simple language to drivers)
- English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and make fast, safe decisions
Schedule
Shift-based schedule, 8−12 hours per shift. Shifts may include days, evenings, and nights on a rotating basis. Weekends and holidays are included in the rotation, with compensation or shift swaps as needed. Multiple team members rotate to provide 24/7 coverage.
