Contract Role: Front End Developer (Remote)
Type: Independent Contractor, Day Rate Location: Fully Remote Duration: 3 months (with potential extension)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to help deliver a new consumer-facing MVP. The initial build will be a responsive web application that integrates wallet functionality, payment and token flows, and interactive features such as gameplay and tournaments.
This role is ideal for a developer with strong web front end skills and experience working on MVPs, who can deliver intuitive, scalable, and user-friendly interfaces to tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Build responsive, mobile-friendly web app interfaces for the MVP
- Translate design wireframes into production-ready code using React (or similar)
- Implement wallet and transaction flows, including token purchase and usage
- Develop user experiences for interactive features (e.g. joining events, viewing results, leaderboards)
- Integrate front end with APIs and back-end services
- Optimise performance, usability, and accessibility across devices and browsers
- Maintain code quality through testing, version control, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams in rapid iteration cycles
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering MVPs or start-up builds
- Strong skills in React, NodeJS, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
- API integration (wallets, payments, or similar transaction-based systems)
- Familiarity with state management (Redux, Context API, etc.)
- Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
- Track record of working independently in remote environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with TypeScript and Next.js
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS or equivalent component frameworks
- Prior experience with tokenised systems, digital wallets, or payment integrations
- Background in gaming, competitions, or consumer apps
- Experience with front end performance optimisation and testing frameworks
Engagement Terms
- Independent contractor agreement, day rate basis
- Fully remote
- Initial 3 engagement
- Contractor responsible for own equipment, taxes, and insurance
