Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, has an immediate opening for an HVAC Engineer to join our team.

Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to support the design and coordination of cutting-edge data center projects across the U.S. In this role, you will be responsible for modeling, designing, and analyzing critical mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, chilled water systems, cooling towers, boilers, humidification, and condensation systems. You will perform simulations, prepare calculations and technical documentation, and ensure design accuracy using advanced BIM and mechanical engineering tools. You will work closely with other disciplines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing across the full project lifecycle from schematic design through execution. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Using BIM tools to virtually construct mechanical systems and coordinate with other disciplines using tools such as Autodesk Revit — is a must
- Developing a thorough understanding and delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost, and schedule
- Determining and expediting engineering deliverables for projects
- Developing and maintaining project scope of work documentation and revisions as required during design evolution
- Designing of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, chilled water systems, boilers, humidification, and cooling towers
- Preparing engineering calculations, schematic designs, and detailed designs
- Performing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize system performance
- Preparing technical documentation required for project execution, including design criteria, calculations, specifications, and data sheets for mechanical equipment
- Reviewing shop drawings
- Producing models and drawings in BIM and CAD tools
- Performing occasional site visits to support construction progress (valid U.S. work visa considered an asset but not required)

Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical or related field)
- At least 4−5 years of experience as an HVAC or mechanical engineer
- Proven expertise in the design of mechanical/HVAC systems
- Written and spoken English B1 and higher
- Hands-on experience with Revit Autodesk — is a must
- Experience with CFD software and mechanical modeling tools
- Experience in designing building and engineering systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical projects
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering codes and safety standards
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while meeting project deadlines
- Self-starter, ambitious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
