As an Import-Export Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods, materials, and equipment across international and local supply chains. You will be responsible for managing import and export documentation, coordinating logistics, and supporting procurement activities for both R&D and mass production.
This position requires strong attention to detail, solid understanding of customs and logistics processes, and excellent communication skills for interacting with international suppliers and partners. Your work will directly support the efficiency of production, R&D, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Import and Export Operations
- Prepare, verify, and manage all documentation related to import and export activities.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, licensing, and certification requirements.
- Coordinate customs clearance processes with brokers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Track international shipments, resolve issues, and provide delivery status updates.
- Maintain proper records and filing of shipping and customs documents.
Procurement Support
- Support procurement activities for R&D and production needs, both locally and internationally.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and lead times.
- Ensure smooth coordination between procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams.
Local Operations and Inventory Coordination
- Prepare and manage documentation for local purchases and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate databases and records for inventory and accounting purposes.
- Monitor stock levels and support timely replenishment of materials.
Logistics Coordination
- Plan and organize transport for local and international shipments.
- Select appropriate logistics partners and monitor performance.
- Ensure that delivery schedules align with operational priorities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in import/export, procurement, or logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs clearance, and documentation.
- Skilled in negotiation and vendor management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English proficiency (at least B1-B2 level) for international correspondence and meetings.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in defense, manufacturing, or tech industries is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license (category B) is a plus.
